When requesting help, include your device model, operating-system version, app version and build number, what you expected to happen, and the exact steps that produced the issue. Please do not send copyrighted or confidential audio unless we request it and you have permission to share it.
iCloud synchronization
When enabled, sync uses the private CloudKit database associated with your Apple Account. It can automatically exchange Show information and eligible managed audio among compatible devices. Finder-referenced originals must be copied into SpotlightLA Sound FX before they can synchronize.
Sync is not an independent backup. Keep original media and a current exported Show outside the app. Before a live event, confirm that waiting uploads and conflicts are zero and play required pads on the device you will use. A completed sync does not prove that every other device has downloaded and tested every file.
If sync is delayed, confirm that the device is online, signed into iCloud, has iCloud Drive and SpotlightLA Sound FX enabled, and has sufficient device and iCloud storage. Offline changes stay queued. Review conflict details before choosing which version to keep.
Show export and transfer
Use Share or Export Show to create a .spotlightfx file. Save it to Files, iCloud Drive, an external drive, or another location you control, or send it through AirDrop. The package can contain audio, so confirm that you have permission before sharing it.
Missing or referenced media
On Mac, a Show may reference a file in its original Finder location. If that file or external drive moves, reconnect the drive or use the app’s recovery and relink options. For a portable or synchronized Show, copy required media into SpotlightLA Sound FX first.
Media and website questions
SpotlightLA Sound FX cannot grant permission to use, copy, perform, broadcast, synchronize, or share media. User-created website shortcuts open in the default browser; the public app does not download from or integrate with those websites.
