Content Rights Policy

SpotlightLA Sound FX helps users play, edit, organize, record, export, transfer, and optionally synchronize media. It does not provide a media catalog, verify ownership, supply legal clearance, or grant or insure media rights.
Users may import, record, reference, synchronize, perform, export, or share media only when they created it, own it, received a license or permission covering the intended use, or can otherwise lawfully use it. “Free,” “royalty free,” “publicly available,” or technically unprotected does not necessarily mean unrestricted. Attribution, commercial-use, distribution, synchronization, public-performance, broadcast, publicity, trademark, privacy, or share-alike requirements may still apply.
Using SpotlightLA Sound FX, successfully importing a file, or storing it locally or in a private iCloud database does not establish that the user has permission. The app does not determine fair use, public-domain status, license scope, ownership, or whether a particular performance, recording, copy, export, or transfer is lawful. Users are responsible for keeping license records and complying with rights-holder, venue, source-service, and applicable legal requirements.
Before exporting or sharing a Show containing audio, the user must confirm permission to copy and redistribute every included item. A recipient receives no media rights from Spotlight Entertainment LA Events. Private iCloud synchronization between a user’s own eligible devices does not expand the user’s underlying rights or authorize distribution to another person.
The public app contains no provider catalog and no website media detector or downloader. User-created website shortcuts open browser search results only. Users must follow each website’s terms and obtain an authorized physical file before importing it through Files, Finder, Photos, or the Share sheet.
Report a rights concern
To report a rights concern involving material distributed by Spotlight Entertainment LA Events, contact info@SpotlightLA.com with identification of the work, the material at issue, contact details, a good-faith statement, and any authority to act for the rights holder. This policy is not a substitute for legal advice.
